Numeria

Terms of Use

Effective October 7, 2026.

By using Numeria at data.justinowensauthor.com, a teacher agrees to these terms for themselves and their school. Students use Numeria only through a teacher's class.

Who may use Numeria

Numeria is for teachers and schools to use with their students for education. Teachers must be 18 or older and must have their school's permission to use online tools with students. Students may play only with a login card from their teacher.

Accounts and approval

Teachers sign in with a Google account and request access. Every account is approved by hand, and we may decline or remove any request. You are responsible for keeping your Google account secure and for the login cards you print. If a card is lost or shared, replace it in the Teacher Portal.

Free trial and membership

Approved teachers get a free 30-day trial with every game and teaching resource, for up to 2 classes and 60 students. A few sharing features, such as publishing question banks to the shared library, aren't part of the trial. Nothing is charged during a trial. When it ends, games pause until the account is extended or becomes a membership, and your classes and settings stay saved for 90 days. If we offer paid memberships, the price, billing period and refund terms will be shown to you before you are asked to pay.

Teacher and school responsibilities

Acceptable use

You and your students may not: try to get into other teachers' classes or the database; change scores or rewards outside the games; disrupt the site or overload it; post anything unlawful, hateful, or inappropriate for students in question banks, titles, resource links, or Help & Feedback; or upload or link content you don't have the right to use.

Your content

Question banks, renamed titles, resource links and other material you add stay yours. You give us permission to store and show that content to run Numeria for your classes. If you share a bank to the shared library, you also let other approved teachers use it in their classes. You are responsible for making sure you have the right to use what you upload or link.

Our content and teaching resources

The games, artwork, stories, built-in questions, teaching resources and software belong to Justin Owens. While your account is active you may use them with your students, and you may copy and change the teaching resources (slide decks, guides, activities and videos) for your own classroom. You may not sell, publish or redistribute them. Built-in content is aligned to the North Carolina Standard Course of Study; you are responsible for checking that it fits your own course.

Ideas and feedback

If you send ideas, new game suggestions or bug reports through Help & Feedback, we may use them to improve Numeria without owing you anything.

Availability and no warranty

Numeria is offered “as is.” We work to keep it running and growing, but we don't promise it will always be available or error-free, or that saved progress can never be lost. School networks and filters may block parts of it. Keep your own copies of question banks you care about.

Limit of liability

To the extent the law allows, Justin Owens is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for lost data, from using Numeria. Total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for Numeria in the 12 months before the claim, or $50 if you paid nothing.

Ending access

You can stop using Numeria and ask us to delete your account at any time. We may pause or close an account that breaks these terms, puts students at risk, or whose trial has ended. When an account closes, its data is deleted as described in the Privacy Policy.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We will post the new version here and tell teachers in the Teacher Portal before major changes take effect. Continuing to use Numeria after that means you accept them.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located in North Carolina, unless the law that applies to your public school or district requires otherwise.
